Wet n Wild Megalast Lipstick in Cherry Bomb Review,Swatches

Hello Angels!

How is everyone today?! I was always someone who feared wearing darker toned colors, as I thought they would make me look older. But, once I started experimenting with different looks and colors, there was no looking back since! I’m now a fan of darker lip colors and try grabbing as many shades as possible. This lipstick is my recent purchase, and I just cannot stop raving about it!! Reviewing for you, the Wet n Wild Megalast lipstick in Cherry Bomb let me tell you how this product has fared in the beauty department!

Price: It is priced at $2, which is super affordable

What the company claims:  Lips take center stage! This 4-hour, long-wearing lip color leaves a semi-matte, crème finish in one stroke. Glides on easily with rich, velvety color that doesn’t cake, feather, or bleed. Made with hydrating skin-care ingredients: Hyaluronic Microspheres provide extraordinary adhesion to lips, an exclusive polymer complex offers cushion-like feel and texture, and natural marine plant extracts Coenzyme Q10 and Vitamins A & E help smooth lips.

My take on the product:

Packaging: As mentioned in my earlier Wet n Wild Lipstick reviews, I’m not a fan of their packaging! They look really sordid and are not an attractive sight! They come in a black case with transparent lid, with the bottom show casing the shade name, while the transparent lid has wet n wild written over it. It is a very basic packaging, and it can be quite messy as well, because when trying to take the lipstick out or putting the lid back, the color is all over the lid. Also, they can be quite difficult to open and the lipstick makes a weird noise every time, I wonder what it is!

Color: I absolutely adore this Vampy Maroon color and it’s perfect for WINTERS!! It is quite similar to one of the lipsticks Deepika Padukone wore for an event, I cannot recollect which event, but it’s really similar!! Also, the color is flattering to every skin tone!!

Color pay-off:  This is definitely worth talking about, because one swipe and BANG ON!!!! Even if you have the most pigmented lips, you will not need more than one coat of this lipstick! It leaves stains big time as well, so even if you have washed off all your make-up, rest assured that the stain isn’t going anywhere, and will stay for at least ten hours! No joking!! I tried washing it out; NO SCRUB could take it off! 😛  “Lagta hai isme maa ka pyaar mila hai”!! 😛 LOL

Staying power:  People would often scare away from buying drugstore products especially ones that are so dirt-cheap, because they think they wouldn’t work! But, these lipsticks prove us wrong in every department, be it quality, color, texture or the staying capacity!!! They will last on your lips for a good eight hours, and as mentioned, the stains will take quite a few hours to wash away, no matter how much you try to get rid of them!

Texture: In comparison to the other lipsticks, I feel this lipstick needs a little effort while applying because it is a matte. However, it’s nothing too troublesome! It does have a smooth texture and glides on evenly, but not as buttery smooth as the other lippies from the line!! Also, I like how the color does not bleed or transfer badly!
