A girl can never have enough lip products in her vanity! From lip balms, lip glosses to lipsticks, we need them all. Lip crèmes are the latest addition to the lipstick family, and have been a huge success, especially the NYX soft matte lip crèmes! Almost every make-up brand has come up with these lippies and they have fared pretty well in the beauty department! I wanted to give lip crèmes a try and decided to go with Tarte! Let’s see how this one has fared for me;
A little about the Tarte Lip Surgence Lip Crème Legend
The lip crème de la crème – an ultra-moisturizing, full coverage lip crème providing a rich, creamy color veil with a luxurious texture.
Price: These lip crèmes are priced at 24 dollars; well, its Tarte! Indian price is approximately 1900 INR!
My review of the Tarte Lip Surgence Lip Crème Legend
Packaging: Tarte has done a great job at packaging the lip surgence lip crèmes as they come in the form of chubby sticks, which can be twisted up and rolled back, this prevents wastage of product! I love how the golden cap and lilac detailing adds beauty to the packaging! The color of the crayon is just the same as the color of the lip crème, which makes it easy to access in your makeup stash! I love how you don’t need to sharpen it, saves you time! 😀
Texture: This lip crème is a dream to apply, trust me, it just glides on so buttery smooth without being tugged or pulled at! It is super hydrating on the lips, and adds a beautiful sheen when applied!
Finish: These chubby sticks have a nice satiny smooth finish to them! They do not settle into fine lines as they are super creamy! It leaves a nice minimal stain on the lips; the texture is something that I cannot stop raving about!
Fragrance: If you have tried the Revlon Just Bitten Lip stains, you will be able to relate to the smell this one has! It smells of mint, really fresh! Also, when you apply it, it gives that cooling sensation which vanishes a few minutes later! Beware if you are sensitive to fragrances though, you may not really like it!
Color: The color is a nice pink; it adds that instant brightness to the face, when you apply it! This is a nice summery color… Adding to the goodness, it is build-able, and would look good on medium- deeper skin colors! You can use it on its own to add that pop of color to the lips or team it up with a soft make-up look, it would look great! This I feel, is more of a daytime shade though, ideal for everyday wear!
Pigmentation: These lip crèmes are not super pigmented; you need at least two swipes of it to show up on the lips! However, if you have pigmented lips you could layer it to your liking! It does tend to transfer due to the creamy consistency, but that’s something you cannot help! Crèmes do transfer, no matter how hard you try!
Longevity: The lip stain lasts for a good four to five hours, which is pretty decent for a super creamy product like this one! It washes off evenly without making the lips look patchy or unappealing! I love the pinky stain it leaves behind!
Bottom Line: In my opinion, these lip crèmes are worth trying at least once in your life! I love how they look, the moisturizing properties they have, how pigmented they are and how they can be built up to your liking! J

Do I recommend the Tarte Lip Surgence Lip Crème Legend?
Well, well, I prefer being neutral here! I don’t say they are the best lip crèmes out there in the market, but they are definitely worth a shot! I like them, and I’m sure you would too! Do not want to spend so much money? You will definitely find alternatives in Revlon Just Bitten Lip Stains, which are easy on the pocket! However, they wouldn’t be as long lasting as these ones
